Very intriguing book of a future dystopia where rights have been eroded by the state to the point that the citizens are barely aware they are drones. The crux of the book is a love story, with political intrigue and rebellion staying in the background until the exciting last third of the book. The protagonist begins as a relatively unsympathetic character but is stripped of his baser elements by love and a yearning for freedom to become a different man at the end.

It's well worth the purchase and a good read and makes you think about the nature of the relationship between government and its people and when it is just to do more than gripe, but to act.
